France Telecom : l’opérateur ne récupèrera pas les fonds issus du régime dérogatoire de taxe professionnelle

Le Tribunal de l’Union Européenne, saisi par la France, avait confirmé cette analyse, corroborée également depuis ce matin par la Cour de Justice.

“C’est à bon droit que le Tribunal a jugé que le régime particulier d’imposition auquel France Télécom était soumise de 1994 à 2002 constituait une aide d’État”, écrit la CJUE, qui “confirme l’analyse du Tribunal selon laquelle ce régime particulier d’imposition en ce qu’il accordait un avantage à France Télécom constituait une aide d’État même si le montant exact des aides octroyées sur la base de ce régime devait être déterminé au moyen de certains facteurs externes à celui-ci”.

La Cour a aussi rejeté l’argument de France Télécom selon lequel le Tribunal aurait omis de tenir compte du régime fiscal global qui lui était applicable pendant les deux régimes fiscaux successifs, et ceux tirés d’une violation du principe de protection de la confiance légitime, ainsi que d’un défaut de motivation de l’arrêt du Tribunal.

France Télécom avait déposé début 2010 un recours devant la Cour de Justice de l’Union Européenne contre la décision rendue fin 2009 par le Tribunal de l’Union Européenne confirmant la décision de la Commission européenne considérant que le régime dérogatoire de taxe professionnelle dont bénéficiait l’opérateur jusqu’en 2003 constituait une aide d’Etat d’un montant d’environ 1 Milliard d’Euros.

I thought he was an idiot for paying $10k more for the car to save a few bucks a month on gas, and then will have to pay $5k in a few years to replace the battery.Hybrid cars aren’t about saving money or the environment – yet anyways.

Never heard a sillier idea: (a) the electricity has to come from somewhere and most likely from coalso no help re global warming, (b) Nothing new about electric cars;they were one of the first developed in the 1900s and they failedthen, as they will fail now, (c) if you really enjoy looking fora plugin every 200 miles, good luck (if I’m not alert I even comeclose to running out of gas driving from IL to CO, and (d) bringplenty of books to read while sitting for a couple of hours whilewaiting for the recharge.

USA : le Net devant la presse comme source d’information

Selon la dernière étude du “Pew Research Center” menée sur 1489 adultes américains interrogés au début décembre, la Toile est depuis cette année la deuxième source d’information pour des sujets d’actualité nationaux et internationaux, derrière la sacro-sainte télévision.Concrètement, 40% des personnes interrogées se rendent d’abord sur le Net pour s’informer contre 35% pour la presse écrite.

En 2001, seulement 13% des personnes interrogées considéraient Internet comme première source d’info contre 45% pour la presse.Mieux, si l’on s’intéresse aux plus jeunes (moins de 30 ans), on s’aperçoit que la Toile fait jeu égal avec la télévision avec 59% des sondés qui se rendent d’abord sur le Web pour se tenir au courant de l’actualité.Toutes populations confondues, la télévision reste la source d’information numéro un pour les américains.

Mais sa domination s’effrite : en 2002, 82% des personnes interrogées faisaient d’abord confiance à la petite lucarne, un chiffre qui tombe à 74% en 2007 et 70% en 2008.Que conclure de cette étude ?

Le Web devient en fait de plus en plus le point d’entrée principal pour la consommation des médias car on y retrouve les versions en ligne et enrichies des supports traditionnels (journaux, émissions de TV) et des sources d’informations seulement accessibles en ligne.
